While May boasted a payoff rate nearing 50%, July’s payoff from the maturing loan balance was a mere 6%. However, when evaluated by the number of loans, July’s payoff rate rises to 35.7%. Regardless, it’s below the year-to-date average and marks the weakest performance of 2023.
